Register now for our new tournament. We know how hard you’ve been working his off season and its time to see what you’ve got! The Sandbox is hosting a women’s doubles tournament, Friday May 17th at 6:30pm. General structure: two hours pool play to determine seating, then modified double elimination. Space is limited (10 teams total). Tournament will be hosted at The Sandbox in Georgetown.
Registration note: Only one person from each team needs to register. ($60 per team)
Let’s take the next few weeks to get you ready for the summer tournament season! Nightly skill based clinics,
with plenty of one-on-one coaching, will improve your game in no time. Each night will have a rolling start time,
from 6:30-7:00pm, to warm up and discuss specifics with house coaches and trainers. The following hour will be
skill specific drills and individual coaching. Followed by over two hours of pool play (5 teams); putting your new
techniques right into action! Each night will be structured for 20 players, $30 per player (per night).
Skill focuses include:
Hitting- shot making
Defense- passing,overhead digging, & general strategy
Setting- open hand & bump set
Serving & Serve Receive
When? Monday- Thursday, May 6-9, 13-16 & 20-22
6:30-7:00pm Warm up & one-on-one with coaches
7:00-8:00pm Skill Specific Clinic (see options above)
8:00-10:00pm Pool Play
Register now for our summer outdoor volleyball tournaments! As usual, we’re heading to Alki Beach in West Seattle to enjoy the sun and take over the volleyball courts. Aside from our fun “Alki Fridays” volleyball leagues, we run tournaments on Alki. We’re super excited to announce a third NEW tournament: Summer Solstice Tournament. Format: Coed 2′s and Coed 4′s tournament. Coed 4′s maximum 2 guys. Pool play followed by elimination bracket.
This Saturday, April 20, 2013, late-night drop-in volleyball is CANCELLED. We will still have late-night drop-in the night before on Friday, April 19, 2013. It’s always a packed house on Friday, so register now!
