Hey all! We wanted to let you all know that we’re using a new system (SportsIT) to keep track of everything. Now you’re able to register, make payments, and see schedules all in one spot. We’re still learning how to use everything, so we want to thank you for your patience.

Summer Volleyball Tournaments

Let’s ring in the summer! We’re hosting two volleyball tournaments at Alki Beach. That’s right! We’re taking the fun outdoors. The Summer Kick-off Tournament is Saturday, May 26, 2012, and the Mid-Summer Classic Tournament is Saturday, July 21, 2012. As always, we’re playing coed 2′s in the morning and Coed 4′s in the afternoon. Rally up your team and register now.

Alki Fridays

Come and join us in ending the work week with volleyball on the beach at Alki! Runs June 1st – August 24th with 10 weeks of guaranteed beach play, longer than any other beach leagues with no byes or rain outs. We’ll head indoors to The Sandbox in Georgetown if the weather is bad. We have levels one (beginners) to four (advanced). Teams not allowed. Individuals only. We’ll mix up teams each week. Sells out fast. Register now.

Lil Diggers Playtime

We’ll still be open for Lil Diggers Playtime through the summer months. So come on in and enjoy our safe, clean indoor beach. Check our website for summer scheduling.

Hey all you artistic sandboxers! We’re throwing a t-shirt design contest for our fun Lil Diggers Playtime. It’s been a few months since we launched the indoor kids sandbox and it’s taken off like gangbusters. Many of you are leaving Lil Diggers saying you loved it, you’re coming back, and you’re telling everybody you know. And hearing that makes us think we’ve got something good going. It’s so good, we think you’ll be proud to sport a “Lil Diggers Playtime” t-shirt.

We know some of you are extremely creative or maybe know someone who’s a master at graphic designs, so we want to let you create a t-shirt design.

The grand prize winner gets a private party here at The Sandbox! Everyone will “Like” their favorite design on Facebook, then we’ll make the final decision from the top 5 most-liked designs. So get your design in quick! Deadline is April 30, 2012.

How to Enter

1. Initial entries must be submitted by email to joanne@sandboxsports.net or in-person at The Sandbox. The entries must be submitted as a scalable vector graphic in EPS format, or as a JPG or a hand-drawn submission. See the Submission Guidelines below for further information.

2. The entry must include the name, age, postal address, phone number and email address of the Entrant, as well as the title of the entry.

3. No more than 3 Entries may be submitted by any one Entrant.

4. Entries must conform to the Submission Guidelines (see official rules below). Entries which fail to do so will be rejected.

5. The deadline for Entries is midnight (one minute after 2359) on April 30, 2012, Pacific Daylight Time.

6. We will attempt to acknowledge all entries within one week of receipt; however, we cannot be responsible for entries or responses lost in e-mail.

7. There is no fee to enter the Contest.
